Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes Top Quality

As an intermediate gamer, I have to say that this game is really good. For those of you that play Halo 3 ODST and Modern Warfare 2 all day, this may seem slightly boring. But for a relaxing -yet challenging- game, this is a great buy!
There are two difficulties on this game- Padawan and Master. I'm only on Padawan now, and it's not just a walk on the beach. It is easier than other games, however, because of the respawning system. Whenever you die, you simply respawn at the last checkpoint (there are no shortages of these). You do lose a significant amount of points, though, so you still have to be careful.
The storyline includes one of the best features of the game. Altough you can play the whole game on single-player, you will always have a partner Jedi to assist you. By default, it will be AI controlled. But at any desired time, another player can join and play as the second Jedi! The other great part about the storyline is that you can play as a variety of different Star Wars heroes (therefore the title, "Republic Heroes"). The storyline is divided up into missions, each with its own heroes. For example, you start off as Anikan with Ashoka, next you have Obi-wan with Klo, and later perhaps Windu with another Jedi. Some missions also use clone troopers, which are quite fun to battle with. And after each completed mission, autosave will save your progress.
If there are any downsides to this game, it would probably be the camera angles. They can be slightly frustrating at times, especially if you are trying to beat a mission with a partner. It is a third-person view, with no split-screen for two player mode. This is only a minor issue though, and does not take anything away from the overall quality of the game.
In summary, this is a great game if you are a Star Wars fan and/or if you enjoy destroying hordes of droids with a lightsaber. The graphics are great for the PS2, and the gameplay is fun and addictive.Get more detail about Star Wars the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes.

NBA Live 09 Immediately

I hired this out of the video store today, hoping to see a worthy competitor to NBA 2K10 for the old PS2. Sadly, apart from the choice of international teams and the World Championship, I cannot say this game is any good. The graphics are terrible, NBA 2K10 is far brighter and crisp. Also, the game has no fluidity, it's jerky and the controls are clumsy. Although we are now in a PS3/XBOX360/Wii era, there is still no excuse for jerkiness in games in the older PS2. Just compare the graphics in this game to some of the PS2 Madden games, and even NBA 2K10 and you realise they could've made a vastly superior game if they'd been bothered. If you want a decent updated NBA game for the PS2, go for NBA 2K10 instead, it is much better. I'm so glad I didn't go and buy this gameGet more detail about NBA Live 09.

Great condition, quick delivery. Some of the games are really good, some maybe less so, but since seeing AVGN, I have gotten interested in these old school games, worth a look. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 Get it now!

I had a chance to get 2010 over this one, but because of the reviews, I chose the 2009 version. I was expecting the graphics to be better. I mean, there are more elaborate ps2 games out there so I was surprised by the shotty worksmanship here, and the great ratings this game got overall. I also noticed it would get all glitchy when I'd end up in a bunker too. The cool things are the physics of the game itself, and really the smooth motions of character that pulls back and hits the ball. The movements and overall game seem very fluid. Madden NFL 09 Buy Now

I just got Madden 10 and also have '08, so I will be comparing this to those two. This game is really good compared to '08, but not as good in some aspects as '10. If you like the NFL, and are on a tight budget, go for this game. If you have a lot of money, and like the NFL, just skip it and get '10. The UI is way better on this game than '08 and the graphics are better. Plus the updated rosters and new features on Superstar mode. If you have '08 and would like an upgrade, but don't want to dish out $40, get this. You'll just have to create some players and perform some trades. There IS one thing that I like better about this game, and that is that it still has John Madden and Al Michaels. '10 has Chris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond. I really do not like Tom Hammond.
