Low Price Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

i bought this game kinda on a whim because i had recently finished a game i had been working on for a long time, and i have to say first of all that this game is NOT a bad game at all. Its a little different from previous harry potter games in the series such as 2,3,and 4 because they changed the castle and how you cast spells. If you have played the fifth harry potter game it is more like that one than many of the other games. One thing i loved was they made the castle more intricate, which for a gamer like me who loves to explore, is great and it stuck to the story line alot more than i thought they would but it was more closely related to the movie where they left out ALOT of things from the book. I disliked the way they have you cast spells now though, instead of pressing the square, circle, or triangle buttons they now have you complete a series of movements with the joysticks which in some ways makes it more realistic (well...as realistic as a game about magic and wizards can be...) but it also makes it kinda unnecessarily difficult in that you dont always cast the right spell or sometimes you don't even cast the spell at all if you didn't do the motion right. Another thing i noticed about this game was that it was INCREDIBLY short. like i said previously, i bought this game because i had just finished a game i had been working on for a long time, lets just say the next day i was back picking out a new game because i beat it so quickly. Save Twisted Metal: Head On, Extra Twisted Edition

Twisted Metal Head-On was the very first game I bought with my PSP.
It was incredible and still is. So you can imagine how I felt
when this EXTRA Twsited Edition was hitting hitting shelves.
Apparently, this is a truer sequel to Twisted Metal 2 World Tour.
The same vehicles but with a few
exceptions to design, characters, and special weapons.
If you are not familiar with the PSP game, I have to mention that with
this, you don't automatically die if you fall off a cliff. You will
respawn with some of your vitality gone. I would say the second best
part of this game is how balanced it is between the cars. In TM2, I
use to destroy people with Mr. Slam. Yeah, he was slow but if you have
turbo and the freeze blast, you can get in close. Thumper's special
weapon also did a lot of damage and he can take some of his own.
Playing the lost TM Black stages was alright, something different.
I don't think I would've bought this title just for that. The fact
that I could play Head On using the television is enough for me.
I didn't give it 5 stars because you can't play online multi-player.
That is a big omission if you consider that if they released Twisted
Metal Black on the same console years before this came out, and that
had online multi-player, than there is no excuse not to include it
now. Maybe that is why the price was cheaper upon release. I only paid $20
and now it's under $15 here on Amazon. More than your money's worth!

Discount AR Tonelico 2: Melody Of Metafalica

I'm completely new to the entire AR Tonelico series. This is the first AR Tonelico type of game I have every played. I went out and purchased the "Premium Package" that came with an art book and music CD (nice extra's!) and it told me one thing about the game I brought. The developers actually care about the game. You don't see those types of packages too often but it was a nice touch.

AR Tonelico at first kind of took me by suprise. I didn't know much about it at all. I just brought it on a whim. I was looking for a new RPG for my PS2 and this looked like it would fit the bill. My first impressions of the game was that it looked well put together. Atleast the opening was as it's nice to watch and listen to. Then the game itself starts... at first I thought I time traveled back to 1993 and was playing this on a super nintendo! Because these are 16bit or worse graphics. If you picked this game up to be blown away by amazing visuals this is not Final Fantasy!

I was annoyed with the look as I knew what to expect but didn't think it be that bad... then... I started to play the game. The story slow to start actually got me interested in the game. AR Tonelico is a game heavy on dialogue and character interactions. To me the game is a mix of HarvestMoon and Atlus's Persona series. The graphics and sprites look like Harvest Moon, but the anime style and character relationships remind me a lot of Persona. Which to me is fine because they are both games I enjoy. There's just something about AR Tonelico that brings you into it...

As for the story I'm only about 20 hours or so into the game but so far I have no complaints... matter of fact I don't really have any actual complaints about the game itself. I can see where other people might dislike the game because it's not all action and it's somewhat a bit complex... but I think even though the game is rated Teen this game is really for adult players. There's a lot of adult humor in the game that I'm sure goes over the heads of young minds or turns into something beyond the joke it was meant to be.

AR Tonelico is a "charming" RPG and honestly I'm glad that I brought it. What it lacks in visuals it makes up for in the story and to me that's what really makes a great RPG. I love playing the game and seeing the character relationships develop. I enjoy RPG's that aren't always about slaying monsters and leveling up. Which is why I granted this to be an Adult game as it requires patience.

Overall... I'm 1/4 into the game and already I can't wait for the next installment to the series! This is a great game and it's unfortunate it has been overlooked by people that moved on to next gens and reviewers that didn't think to give the game a second glance. If anything this game is a 4/5 at the very least. I note it 5/5 because it has it's own magic and style that modern RPG's don't seem to follow anymore. AR Tonelico is a mix of old and new school RPG's and I think that's what makes it so great...

THE BATTLE SYSTEM!
This is what makes the game 5/5 for me.
This game features the best turned based battle system I have ever used.
It's all fast past so it feels more or less like real time just about as you select your moves almost like a fighting game. You just move the directional pad and hit the attack button to execute the move you'd like. No selecting the attack you want to use and then watching it. You actually pull it off in semi real time.

The bottom line is that if AR Tonelico was to advance it's graphics and bring them up to 2010 it would be a block buster hit. For now the 16bit yester year style of the game is somehting that turns most modern day gamers away sadly. Cheapest Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World

I have been a fan of all DBZ series and video games for awhile and always will be. I was excited to get this game but once i started playing it, there was no new experience for me.

GAMEPLAY----- the gameplay is still the same as the previous games. I SEE NO NEW IMPROVEMENT LOL. its a bit more fast paced and precise but nothing as a new feel.

Graphics----- the graphics were pretty good for a ps2 game so i will give it credit. i still am a big fan for those shadow style animated cartoon graphics.

Sound--- it could be better.

OVERALL---- If you are a big fan of dbz or new to this style of game then you might have a fun time for a while. but if u are deep into fighting games then this game will not even be much of an improvement.

Buying The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night

I never played the older Spyro games, & I started with A New Beginning. I beat that game in about 2 days because I loved it so much. I bought this game a few days later & I love it so far! I also bought an older Spyro game, & I thought it was really stupid. I guess the newer ones are different from the older ones, & I prefer the new ones. The graphics are beautiful, & the game itself is very simple to play, with an interesting story. I even got my 52 year old aunt to play the game, & she liked it. She has difficulty playing a lot of games with lots of side quests. The newer Spyro games seem to play straight through, & when I'm relaxing, I often enjoy a simpler game. This is mostly walking (forward because there's not much hunting around, the game is pretty straightforward as to where it wants you to go) & fighting. I will say The Eternal Night is a little harder than A New Beginning, but just as fun! You will again be recruiting hoards of characters for your own castle and army, and may need to use a walkthrough to get them all (there is a very satisfying special ending if you do.) I absolutely love this game. The story behind the game is well developed and the character acting is great. The game is very challenging, which is good because you're never bord. I still haven't beaten this game! The monsters get way tougher to beat as the game goes on and if you're a beginner, you kinda have to learn how to use your weapons the best and what combinations to use without using all your AP up to beat one monster. This is especially true when you fight the bosses. See, every time you attack, you lose AP. If you lose all your ap, the only way to restore it is to walk around. Well, when you move, the monster can move so you have to be careful.

I wont go into great detail because there are so many review that do that.This is not my favorite DDR game.It takes so long and you have to be very experienced before you can unlock half the songs-the good ones.I dont know about you,but starting out I cant ace the difficult songs.I CAN,however,get AAs in everything under difficult and pass 1/2 the difficults songs.But sadly thats not enough to get the songs I want.

I have played through Onimusha 1-3 and now most of Onimusha 4 Dawn of Dreams. This one has the most depth by far. There are countless weapons and items to collect. This is the first time in the series where you get five different characters to control and they all have slightly different playstyles. The main character uses a trusty sword, but support characters use fists, guns, spears and dual blades. I have put over 40 hours into the game so far, and I'm still upgrading my weapons. Armageddon is my favorite since it has a huge list of characters. his is it my friends, the founder of the car combat genre has returned as a revolutionary. Twisted metal: world tour was the game i probably spent most of my childhood playing, and I could not wait for a sequal. Inc were the only people that could make car combat games, decent car combat games that is, but with their leaving they took all that was good about the twisted metal games with them.

Playstation 2 Action Replay Max Review

I always loved finding cheats for games and so i thought purchasing this would make it easier for me. At first I was amazed of how much good cheats there were and ones I couldn't find on gaming sites. All I had to do was start up the Ar Max, go on expert mode, find the game I had, select the cheat codes, press start, then switch it to the game. When I tried it on one game, everything was fine and cheat codes were really fun. But the second time I used it, I noticed the game was acting funny, freezing and sometimes refused to start up at all. I thought I was playing the game too much, so I tried another game and was using other cheats from Ar Max. This time I played, I was enjoying it until the second play through AGAIN it happened. Every time I insert the game, my Playstation 2 would make these struggling noises and it would refuse to read the game disc. I would check the discs which found no scratches then re-insert them, but ended up with the same results. I was so frustrated of the damage the Ar Max did, so now I have two of my games completely ruined.

Silent Hill 3 Immediately

But nope the spooky aptmosphere, thrills, chills, and blood spills are all here. This one revisiting the original story of Silent Hill. You take the role of Heather your typical sarcastic hormonal teenage girl. Unfortunately Heather's past is about to come back to greet her.

Silent Hill 3 is just as good as the last Silent Hill 2. It's graphics are amazing and just as shocking as Silent Hill 2 was. Extremely well designed and very realistic. The game play is the same as SH2 so if you played the previous game you shouldn't have any issues with this one at all. Your back in the same spookie town only this time you take a different path than James did. This time around your actually retracing some of the steps Harry from the first game did. It adds a bit of nostalgia but then again the town has been overhauled for PS2 so this is a whole new ball game.

The only problems I had with Silent Hill 3 is that is can be more difficult than it needs to be... meaning "difficult" level in this game = impossible. Unless you know to save your ammo and health for certain bosses you might be up a creek without a paddle. If your a "hardmode" gamer just be prepared that this games hardmode is more like "extremely difficult" which is unusual for SH since it's hardmode is usually a bit more fair on the player. Challenging, but not impossible. Fighting the last boss will be a hair pulling battle as it's impossible to do unless you saved just the right amount of ammo and health items and if not that your left to hand weapons (good luck with that).

I was really dissapointed with that part of the game. It's almost similar to finalfantasy where in the end you fight 1 boss,then another boss, and then another boss, and never have the chance to re-up on health or items. Well it's sort of the same here only you'll be flooded with a challenging boss and difficult monsters with few health and ammo items to your availablility.

Aside from my rantings on the missleading "hardmode" the game is just what a SH fan can expect. It has a deep plot with references to things that only rewards players the are familiar with the past games. This I like because it doesn't stray away from the roots of the game. It almost makes you want to play the first game to see what they're talking about which is how sequals or threequals should make you feel). Silent Hill is a game to be absorbed and isn't exactly a pick up and shoot instant thrill game like Resident Evil is made to be. It's more story than action which is where the phsycological aspects of the game kick in. I was surprised to see that the series never strayed away from these(speaking of the games leading up to the 3rd).

Silent Hill 3 is something you should pick up if you played the first and loved it, and if you havent played the first then trust me PLAY THAT FIRST! then play Silent Hill 3 you will appreciate the game more.

Xenosaga Episode II Best Quality

The first xenosaga game's budget was at like 100%, and they cranked out a heck of a good game. However, when it came to the second xenosaga game, (this one), it's like they only got a 25% budget, and they cranked out a ..... well.... a piece of crap game. From the way the characters look, to the way they sound, it's pretty corny. The level designs and music totally sucks, and the battle system will leave you saying, "W-T-F!?" I'm currently playing the 3rd xenosaga game, and it seems like they got a 90% budget, and so far, at 5 hours + into the game, it feels the same way as it did when I played the first xenosaga game.... pretty good. So it seems like they cranked out a good product with the third xenosaga game, and i'm having a good time playing through it so far. Lets just hope it stays that way. As for this one... forget about it. Definately play the first one, forget about the second one, (just watch the cut scenes from the game on the internet somewhere so that you can keep track of what the story is all about), and definately play the third one. Disclaimer: I purchased this for the microphones. It appears that there is a high failure rate with the Mics from SingStar bundles. I saw a review that indicated a player was using on his PS3. The Mics worked fine with the PS3, but the songs and disk didn't. I have a new slim PS3, older ones may be compatible but newer units definitely are not.

I have followed this game since the first version. The storyline works very well with this game. Ace Combat 4 has the most realistic effects and landscapes. I like the landings on the aircraft carrier better than a runway for refueling and rearmings. The final contest takes a while to figure out, but it's well worth it.
