This game introduces a whole new kind of gameplay with the teamwork thing. Each character falls into one of three categories: Fast (e.g. Sonic or Shadow), Strong (e.g. Knuckles or Big the Cat), or Flight (e.g. Tails or Charmy Bee). You can use these and combinations of these to take down foes and rush through levels. The tutorial gives you all the basics of how to do everything from jumping to using combo attacks. Then, you're on your own! Different teams have different difficulty levels, ranging from easy (Amy's Team) to hard (Vector's Team). You rush through loop-de-loops, mountains, casinos, and more! Unfortunately, there are some areas where you have to "walk carefully", which is kind of annoying since it is a Sonic game and Sonic is famous for rushing through levels at breakneck speeds. Sometimes, you will find yourself falling down an endless pit for seemingly no reason at all. The multiplayer mode isn't very fun since there are many places where you can "fall off" and it isn't brawling but "racing". Don't worry about the game not having enough save files... it has 99!!!
